"Haven’t determined the reduced loss factor of mattress pads due to the protector yet, but it will save us approximately 50 mattress pads per year that would have been discarded due to biohazard cleaning issues once we have the mattress protectors on every bed.

The cost of Housekeeping savings is more intangible, in how long it takes to complete a room while a room attendant waits on replacement supplies to be brought up to replace a soiled mattress pad or mattress. 

The cost of taking the protector on/off during mattress rotation is minimal.

Our estimated cost of mattress replacement annually is between $18000 and $20000, and we recoup around 1/3 of that cost from guests.  The manpower to remove and replace damaged mattresses is also a factor from our engineering team (at least 2 hours of manpower per mattress).  There is a pickup cost of $50 for each biohazard pickup as well..........at approximately 40 pickups per year.

I hope that helps.  Our significant cost savings is not in wash loads but in mattress and mattress pad replacement costs once we have the entire building covered, and I look forward to that day."

"I have to say that I LOVE the Crypton mattress protectors!  They are easy to put on and take off a mattress, they clean beautifully with simple chemicals for small in-room cleaning needs, they wash easily and require no special care, they hold up well over time, and they fit our mattresses correctly.

From a cost savings standpoint, I anticipate that we will no longer have to replace mattresses die to biohazard “accidents” within a year’s time (once all beds are protected by the mattress protector).  This impacts costs of purchasing mattresses, disposing of mattresses, and the human factor of having to move heavy mattress equipment during the replacement process.

We have never had a guest or team member notice that they were sleeping on a mattress protector bed since we started installing them.  There isn’t any other mattress protector available on the market that I have found to meet this requirement.
